I believe that health and fitness is about living a full, happy, integrated life and not something that needs to be a punishment. My mission is to make exercise as fun and accessible as possible because health should be a part of life for everyone.
I completed my Personal Training qualification in 2015 and have coached clients with diverse goals including weight loss, muscle gain, race prep, recovering from injury, police fitness tests and more. I'm also an Athletics Victoria certified running coach and a boxing for fitness coach. During the Covid-19 lockdown I started working part-time in the disability field and completed a diploma of community services in order to better understand clients with diverse needs and progress my goal of eliminating barriers to health and fitness.
My personal fitness journey has been a long-term learning experience. After injuries forced me to give up my dream of playing professional Football at a young age, I spent some time at university studying science and law. Over several years my fitness declined and I put on weight before resolving to get back in shape. I decided that my health was a priority that I wanted to take into my own hands, so I completed a Certificate 3/4 in Fitness and began the ongoing process of learning how the body works.
By 2017 I realized consistency and habit-forming was key and completed my New Year's resolution of 365 consecutive days of physical activity. During this time I returned to tennis and dabbled in Crossfit, Yoga, Running and Powerlifting. I learned about nutrition and calorie tracking and was able to lose 10kg. In early 2018 I signed up for my first Spartan Race and in 2021 after years of training I won multiple age group races and took second in the National Championship. In early 2022 I shifted focus to improving my tennis.
